Hello, my friends,
Wow, it’s really 2021. We are just about to wrap up January and it feels like we are in March already. It’s definitely been a month full of beautiful surprises, new ideas, and lots of adjustments. I am not complaining at all, it’s been great.
I am happy to be back here writing this post before JANUARY 2021 ends. I know it’s been a while but forgive me, I promise it will be worth it. By the way, I wanted to post in December and I actually have all the content but decided to postpone it for February, it’s such a special topic and I can’t wait to share.
Well, let’s get to it! A lo queue venimos (that’s Spanish for – let’s do what we came here for). I think that by now you know I think a lot about a lot of stuff. So one day, I was asking myself “what is the biggest lesson I learned in 2020?”
I thought about every single thing that happened to me from January 2020 to December 31, 2020, and the biggest lesson I learned in 2020 is that – Time Waits for No One. I know it sounds so cliche, but it’s 100% true. Time has not stopped because of a virus, fires, a new president, a worldwide pandemic, heartbreak. If there was a constant thing in the midst of 2020 it was GOD and TIME.
Time is so precious and 2020 thought me that. There’s no time to waste if you want to do something then do it, if you want to travel then travel, if you’re waiting to start a business then start it, if you wanna talk to a person then talk to them, if you want to break up then break up with them, if you wanna get married then get married, if you wanna have babies, then have babies, I think you get the point.
“Time waits for No One”
I learned this lesson in May when they reopened the Grand Canyon. Most of you will recall I went to the Grand Canyon in June. Originally I had planned it to be my August birthday trip, then I realized that just like they had closed it once they could close it again. I realized that TIME is ticking, it’s not waiting for us to make up or mind. So I bought my tickets, rallied up my friends, and packed my bags. Honestly, it was the best decision ever! I can’t imagine not going.
SO friends, whatever it is that you’re holding off on doing, DO IT. This is your sign! Maybe, you’ve been praying to make decisions, thinking of going back to school, looking for a better job, looking to attend therapy, or just waiting to start a business I want you to know that time is ticking away. Don’t take it as a sign to rush, but know that if you’re not growing your dying. I encourage you to use my words as a reminder that the time we have today will not be here tomorrow because TIME waits for no one.
Ecclesiastes 3:1
For everything, there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.
God was given us a certain number of days and it is up to us to use those days to get to know Him, serve others, and live our lives.
XOXO-
Natalie
