YALL! I cannot believe that I am turning 27 today. THIS is crazy. I still remember little Natalie playing with all her Barbies with her sister. THE memories.
Well, I’ve got to say that “26” was good for me. I never imagined any of the things that happened, but I am so thankful for each one. Each experience was perfectly orchestrated by God. I can see His hand in all of this wonderful year. So without further ado, let’s make it do what it do. ENJOY!
August 2019: My BFF Neida got married to the LOHL. I got to read 1 Corinthians 13 for them. I also learned how to do glass sketching. Got a big promotion at work, I became Assistant Registrar (woot woot).
September 2019:HMM, this month was a blur?? Was there a storm?
October 2019: I was asked for the 1st time in my life to be a bridesmaid. ( I was asked to be a MOH for my beautiful sis)
November 2019: I went to Indiana with both my mom’s and had such an amazing time being ministered to. God preparing me for what was to come. I also visited Noah’s Ark, Kentucky, and Ohio.
December 2019: Emergency travelled to El Salvador after 9 years. My Abuelito passed away on December 15th. I also got to go to Georgia for 9 hrs and forgot it was winter and I was stuck with sandals and cropped jeans.
January 2020: I planned the most magical proposal for my best friend Katherine and travelled to Colorado. Also attended my dear friend Esme’s wedding and had such a sweet time seeing how faithful God is.
February 2020: This month was really rough for me. I struggled. I broke down more times than I can count. I am so thankful for my family and my best friends who were there to pray for me and to be a shoulder to cry on. Grief sometimes hits you like a wave.
March 2020: Went to a concert with my friend, got the flu (probs COVID), and started working from home due to COVID. Had a family breakthrough which truly was a definitely God’s timing.
April 2020: Started my PODCAST, Away with Natalie. It’s available on Apple Podcast and Spotify. Also, joined this cool quarantined worshippers group and met some great people from all over the world.
May 2020: Grew closer with our quarantine group, found a delicious taco place, and was finally able to get my nails done :). I also went to see my best friends in Fredericksburg for their DRIVE BY Baby Shower (remind me that babies are expensive) and got to see my cousin in Austin after 2 months of quarantine.
June 2020: Celebrated my sister’s bday, travelled to ARIZONA, UTAH, and NEVADA. Got see 1 of the seven wonders of the world, The Grand Canyon. Truly a sight to see. Stayed and hiked the Grand Canyon, hiked Camelback mountain, hiked The Narrows.
July 2020: Met some cool people who know how to rap, had many late nights, explored some food places, surprised my dad with a flute from a Native Ameican from Arizona. I also got to celebrate B and her mom for their bdays and went to Cirque De Soleil Mexican experience thanks to Miguel.
Although “26” was differently different, it was a good experience. I learned so much about myself and most importantly about GOD. I learned about His love, peace, about His victory over death. I also learned to continue trusting in His timing. I experienced loss and grief. My goodness, I am so thankful and it just makes me so happy to know I am walking into my 27th year having walked with God through a year of growth, vulnerability, and most importantly in His path.
I also can’t end this post without thanking my parents for their love and unconditional support. I thank God for my sister and my brother who have been my rock throughout this year. Last but definitely, I want to thank my best friends, they all have played a special part in my life and during this year. I feel so blessed.
Happy Birthday to me !!
XOXO,
Natalie
